I organized a hands-on professional development workshop for teachers, led by the DNA Learning Center at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. The event took place at the Friday Institute at NC State and was led by Jeffry Petracca. We sequenced insect DNA that was isolated and amplified as part of the workshop. We used Nanopore Sequencers and showcased the results of our workshop at the NC Science and Engineering Fair.
